Cam is a passionate Landscape Architect who has a love for the outdoors and the natural New Zealand landscape. Cam has over 20 years experience designing and constructing unique quality landscapes for both residential and commercial sites. He spends his time between the studio designing and on-site project managing the construction. He uses his knowledge and practical skills to create clever designs that display craft and elegance.

Cam completed his Landscape Architecture degree at Auckland's UNITEC school of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

Carlos Charlton Landscape Architect BLA Member of the NZILA

Carlos joined the team in 2019 as a Landscape Architect, bringing his strengths in client liaison, multi-disciplinary design teams and detailed design. Carlos has worked on a wide range of projects including large scale infrastructure, residential, commercial, sub-division, and community design projects alongside a range of different clients and disciplines. 

Carlos trained at the Edinburgh College of Arts and at Auckland's UNITEC school of Architecture and Landscape Architecture, completing his Landscape Architecture degree in New Zealand.

Liam joined the team in 2021 as a Landscape Architect. He has a passion for Landscape Architecture, ecology and the outdoors along with a keen eye for detail. Liam has worked on an extensive variety of projects including, residential, commercial, large scale infrastructure, masterplanning, urban design and ecological restoration along side a range of different clients and disciplines.

Liam completed his Bachelor of Landscape Architecture at Auckland's UNITEC school of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

Matt Banks

Matt joined the team in 2009 and is an integral part of SGLA. Matt is passionate about landscape architecture and coming from a building background his design approach is enhanced by practical construction knowledge. He has over 10 years experience in design, documentation, project management and construction. Matt has an eye for detail, clean lines and contemporary planting.  

Matt completed his Landscape Architecture degree at Auckland's UNITEC school of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

Vandy Ahlawat Landscape Architect MLA

Vandy joined the team in 2018 as a Landscape Architect. With a passion for landscape architecture and a background in architecture, she brings an integrated creativity to her design approach. Vandy has worked on an extensive variety of residential and commercial projects including liaising with clients and resource consent documentation. Vandy really likes playing with textures in her designs to balance soft and hard landscapes.

Vandy completed her Masters in Landscape Architecture degree at Auckland's UNITEC school of Architecture and Landscape Architecture.

Vincent Zhai joined the SGLA team in 2022 as a Landscape Architect. Known for his efficiency and tenacity, Vincent quickly established himself as a valuable team member. His versatility shines through as he adeptly liaises with clients and collaborates with various consultants.

Vincent completed his Research Master of Landscape Architecture at Lincoln University, Christchurch.
